Precious Angels is a small volunteer organization founded and directed by Vicki Dischner of Centerville, Iowa, which distributes burial outfits and caskets to couples who have a still-born or preemie baby and cannot afford these items. Precious Angels volunteer seamstresses make little outfits, blankets, caps and teddy bears. Volunteer woodworkers make tiny caskets. An average of 240 outfits and caskets are shipped each year.
Precious Angels is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization. It depends entirely on contributions. Vicki Dischner is not a wealthy woman. Quite the contrary. She has worked to support the program for 31 years, contributing about $10,000 per year out of her own pocket to purchase fabric, lumber, and to pay shipping costs. However; due to an injury she is severely limited in the amount of work she can now do to provide support. Precious Angels needs your help to continue this compassionate service.
