The Need Is Great

What does a young couple do who have lost their home in a flood or a huricane (like Katrina), have lost a job, and now have lost their baby? How can they bury this precious baby with compassion, dignity, and loving care when they just can't afford it?
Thousands of babies are admitted for care in Neonatal Intensive Care Units in hospitals in the United States each year. Some survive, many do not. Due to the babies' extremely small size, there is a shortage of hospital gowns, sleepers, and other garments to fit their tiny bodies. Sadly, in many cases when babies do not survive, parents do not have suitable garments in which to bury them. And when they do survive, preemie infants often do not have tiny clothing to wear when they go home.
Unfortunately, hundreds of couples face this dilema every year, and the numbers are rising.
